    Hey Everybody
    i'll talk about installing enigma2 on DM500

    requirements:
    connecting DM to Local Network
    FlashWizard For DM
NFS Server can install the image
    dm500-e2-FWmultiboot image

first of all you should flash your box by Enigma 1 that contains a linux kernel supporting SWAPON (like pli image)

all the manipulation are under UBUNTU:

    open the terminal and tape:
    sudo apt-get install nfs-kernel-server

after installation you should have somthing like:
    starting NFS Common utilities
Exporting directories for NFS Kernel Daemon...
    Starting NFS kernel Daemon

    after tape :
mkdir /home/***x/dreambox (where ***x is your linux login)
    and sudo nano /etc/exports
and copy the line that contains the DreamIp
    it should be like :
    /home/***x/Dreambox 192.168.1.99(rw,no_root_squash,async)

now turn on the server by:
    sudo /etc/init.d/nfs-kernel-server restart

if all o'right the server should be running and show :Starting NFS Kernel Daemon

Go now to the dream Menu >> Config >> Expert >> Mount
    Ip:the pc ip
    dir:server's path on linux
local dir :server's path on dream
    option :read/writ
and check automount then mount and press ok

run Flashwizard (using wine) and type the following code on PC EXPORT :
    /home/***x/dreambox
and the followin on PC ip: the computer ip
after we choose NFS and select your ENIGMA2 image then press OK
and wait while the image is being installing

    Running the image:
    reboot the dream
Select ENIGMA 2 from the menu
wait until you see the E2 running
then you can access to the dream by Telnet

    the image backup donwload:
    Download

enigma2 is relatively heavy when compared to enigma1 (python, ... )

    so

even if you can imagine what ever you want with linux oses

you can not undergo hardware limitations such as

    ram flashram cpu ...

unless smoking your dm500 together with the carpet

and therefore limited-sized systems such as dm500

still behave outstandingly with their dedicated config

that is enigma1 based apps and plugins

this rules applies obviously for any system where a sustainable ratio

    load / bearing

is required, otherwise the system stalls
